Lift Chairs VS Recliner Chairs Which one should you choose?

Posted by Kevin Brown on

Thinking of buying a new recliner? Before you do you should really think about a lift chair. I know, I don't need a lift chair, that's something my grandfather uses. Lift chairs have come a long way over the years and they do a lot more than just help you get out of a chair.I'm going to touch base on a few features that you probably never realized a lift chair could do.

Zero Gravity

In this physician-recommended posture, the spine, hip and knee joints are positioned on the balanced midpoint of the muscles. With the power recline system, the seat moves up and down to pivot your hips into this naturally relaxing Zero-Gravity position. Spinal pressure and muscle tension are relieved, circulation is improved, and feelings of fatigue melt away. Ah!

Trendelenburg Position

Trendelenburg position, which not only provides the ultimate stretch of your entire back, but also improves your circulation. Created by German physician Friederich Trendelenburg, this position raises your feet above your head, increasing blood flow in your lower extremities. Many doctors prescribe the therapeutic benefits of the Trendelenburg position for congestive heart failure, edema or other circulatory conditions where patients need to raise their legs above their heart for certain periods of time each day. Consult your physician regarding the use of the Trendelenburg position.

Watch TV in Comfort

Want to get ready for the big game or event? In the TV watching position, the seat glides while the footrest raises your feet, keeping the back of the chair angled at 90°and did I mention this is done with just the push of a button.

The biggest thing I want you to understand is that a lift chair can offer all of these features. No recliner can do that. If you bought three different chairs with each of them only having one of these features you would probably pay around $3500.00 - $4000.00 total. A lift chair with these features can run from $1200.00 - $2300.00 and you get all three features in one chair.Think about it next time you decide to go out and get a recliner and come by All Star Medical and get a lift chair instead. You want be disappointed. We would love to hear your comments below.

Thanks and we hope this was helpfully
