The StairSteady is a high quality fixed handrail and a sliding supporting handle that moves freely when pushed but locks in place when weight is applied. It acts as firm support for either climbing or coming down the stairs.

The handle is sturdy and secure and lets you have both hands in front of you as you climb or descend the stairs at your own pace. Once you reach the top or bottom the handle folds neatly away letting you stay independent without having to compromise on appearance.

Q: Does StairSteady replace my existing handrail?

A: It doesn’t have to, but it’s a high-quality handrail and it can replace your existing rail if you like.

Q: Will the StairSteady System obstruct my stairs?

A: Not at all! It folds neatly out of the way when not in use, so other people can use the stairs without being obstructed.

Q: What colour does the StairSteady rail and handle come in?

A: Right now, the StairSteady is made in a neutral cream colour that will fit into any decor.

Q: Does the wall to which the StairSteady will be fixed need to be a stud wall?

A: No, provided the fitting instructions are followed by the installation team, it will work on any wall.

Q: How much weight can the StairSteady hold?

A: The StairSteady can support up to 225 pounds on the handle, directly.

Q: What happens if there are two people in the house that need to use the StairSteady?

A: The StairSteady system has the option of one or two users on a single rail. Once one person has climbed the stairs, the second can still follow.
