• How do I determine which lift I need?

Utilize the following link to determine which lift will work for your vehicle and powered mobility device. Make sure you have the make and model of your vehicle, as well as the make and model of your power mobility device

• How does the vehicle lift attach to my vehicle?

Outside vehicle lifts attach to the vehicle with the use of a trailer hitch. Depending on the lift, you will need either a class II or Class III trailer hitch. Inside mounted vehicle lifts do exactly that. They attach to the inside of your vehicle and are bolted to the floorboard.

• Can the lift be plugged into the existing wiring on my vehicle?

No, all vehicle lifts must be powered by the supplied electrical harness or you can purchase a portable battery pack, which makes installation much less invasive on your vehicle. The harness has full- length leads that attach directly to the battery.

• Are outside lifts weather resistant?

Yes. Outside lifts are designed to be fully weather resistant and designed to withstand outdoor use. The remote hand controls available with some models, however, are not weather resistant and must be removed and stored inside when not in use. You will need to use a weatherproof cover for your power mobility device.

• Can I use my hatchback, tailgate or trunk with an outside lift on my vehicle?

You can purchase a “Swing-Away” optional accessory which allows you to swing the lift away from your vehicle so you can use the tailgate, hatch or trunk of a vehicle. Without this swing-away option, the vehicle lift tower and motor assembly will keep you from opening a tailgate or hatch.
